Telugu Desam party is in the process of finalising candidates for East Godavari district for the ensuing Assembly and Parliamentary elections 2019. TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has finalised candidates some segments. These are as follows:
Rajahmundry Rural: Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary
Rajanagaram: Pendurthi Venkatesh
Anaparthi: Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy
Kovvur in pending:
TDP chief is yet to decide on Kovvur Assembly Candidates being represented by K.S. Jawahari, minister in the present cabinet. It is observed that some sections of people in the constituency are not supporting the candidature of Jawahari.
Other Assembly Constituencies:
1) Rajashmundry Urban: Former MLC Adireddy Apparao and Challa Sankar Rao families are expective ticket. Apparao is requesting ticket for his son Vasu or daughter in law, Bhavani. Bhavani is the daughter of K. Yerrannaidu.
2) Kovvur Constituency: Along with minister Jawahari, Vemagiri Venkatrao is also in the fray.
3) Gopalapuram Constituency: Present MLA Muppidi Venkateswara Rao and Maddipati Venkatraju are in the fray for the ticket.
4) Nidadavolu Constituency: Sitting MLA Burugapalli Sesharao, his brother Gopala Krishna and Kundula Satyanarayana are aspiring candidates.
