Check EPF Account Balance and Withdraw Status Online

Its certainly a good news for about 5 crore Provident Fund subscribers in India. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), the chief of PF account management for crores of employees has decided to provide PF account details online for all its subscribers. So, you can check the amount accrued in your EPF account online through your computer from 1st July 2011. All that you need to do is provide is your PF account number. EPFO is also thinking of replacing PF account number with Aadhaar unique identification number (UID).

This is will help the salaried employees a lot and they can plan their financials by checking the amount in the PF account from time to time. It has been a tedious process for lakhs of people to get a service from PF offices. Lets hope that the new online process will offer hassle free services to the subscribers. The online facility will be fully functional from 1st June 2011. You may also be able to apply online for withdrawal in the near future!

After the access of PF accounts gone public, PF subscribers may be able to check their PF contribution, interest accrued, status of their application for advances, loans along with some other features. There may be some other changes in the pipeline regarding SSN (Social Security Number) and NUIA (National Unique Identification Authority) and possible linkage of all these services. EPFO has separate websites for all the regional EPF offices. In Andhra Pradesh, the online EPF balance checking facility has come into effect in towns such as Hyderabad, Kadapa, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Patancheru, Kukatpalli, Siddipet, Nizamabad, Warangal and Karimnagar.     This is regarding withdrawal of PF from my previous company. I submitted my application in December 2010. I received message from EPFO dept in February 2011 stating that my claim is under process. I received the claim ID on 24 Feb 2011 (Claim ID.: DSNHP110200054272, PF No.: DSNHP00304150000017605). Since then it has been more than seven months but still I haven’t received any revert regarding status of the same. To add to the agony no one at the EPFO office ever picks up the call (011-28050758, 28050416).       The EPFO takes maximum three months to settle PF claims. Three months are already over in your case. Contact your EPFO office for the latest status of the claim.

      You can select the state from the EPFO website and then choose your office code. Then you will be asked to enter your PF number, Name as it appears in PF account and mobile number. You will be get the balance details to you mobile phone.

      To withdraw EPF funds, you may need to apply through your office in the prescribed application form. You can contact the PRO at the EPF office of your region for more details.

    Dear All,
    I know u might have submitted ur pf claims, but u know it is properly filled all particulars ur name,ur bank a/c name a/c no. rtgs code, sealed and signature d od leaving, and date of joining, if all particulars matching with declaration, ur pf claims will be processed faster, if mis match, u have to approach with the concerned section for to know the details
    plz do not blame pf authority for delay in settlement of ur claims ok.
