Land in Amaravati for TDP, BJP, YSR Congress and Congress Parties – 2016

Here is a tip! Floating a political party is the best way to get land in Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. Apart from Amaravati, you may also get land in all the district capitals to set up offices. The land will be allotted as lease initially for a period of 33 years at the paltry rate of Rs 1000 per acre per annum.

The Government of AP has framed guidelines to allot lands for all the main political parties in the state capital and district headquarters. The ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) may get four acres of land in new capital, Amaravati.

Apart from Amaravati, in each district headquarter, the ruling party is eligible to get two acres of land, going by its strength in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The basis of land allotments is the number of MLAs in Assembly.

Congress, being a national but only gets 1000 sq yds of land in Amaravati and a mere 300 square yards in the district headquarters as it has not a single member in the Legislative Assembly.

The same guideline applies to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as well as it has only four MLAs. But YSR Congress will get half acre in Amaravati and 1000 sq yds in the district headquarters as it has more number of MLAs. The allottee (party) should complete construction of the party office building on the land within one year from the date of allotment.
