Only 50 Percent Gold Loans are Eligible for Runa Maafee Scheme in Andhra Pradesh

AP Crop and Gold Loan Scheme 2014 In a shocking revelation to the farmers of Andhra Pradesh, the Government of AP has announced the intricacies of Crop and Gold Loan waiver scheme. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced that only 50 percent of total gold loans are considered eligible for gold loan waiver scheme.

It is observed that the Government of AP has not taken the gold loan accounts of farmers or individuals who have taken the loan from banks by mortgaging the zerox copies of the land into consideration for Runa Maafee scheme (Gold loan waiver scheme).

As far as Crop loans are concerned, the Government of AP has announced that 92 percent of crop loans were identified eligible for the Loan Waiver scheme (Runa Maafee schme). The gold loans taken for non agriculture purposes by the farmers were rejected for the inclusion in the scheme.

The Government has entrusted the officials to be clear with these guidelines and farmers also being informed if they come to register complaint regarding gold loan waiver scheme. This could be a highly disappointing for the lakhs of farmers as so many banks issue gold loans by just taking the zerox copies of land as additional surety.
