Profile of KVP Ramachandra Rao – MP Rajya Sabha

K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao is known as KVP and very close friend of late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradsh Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao is presently MP (Rajya Sabha) of Congress Party from AP. KVP was given the post advisor to Government of Andhra Pradesh during the rule of YSR and received high profile treatment. After the tragic death of YSR morethan a year back, KVP seems almost lost his grip on the Congress Party in the state. KVP Rama Chandra Rao was charged by opposition parties for his alleged role in granting contracts, spinning money in Jalayagnam and land grabs during the reigns of YSR.

To be simple, KVP is a silent performer. He never likes to be in news for good or bad reasons and keep the things going smooth without fan fare and publicity. KVP initially supported Y.S. Jagan’s efforts to become CM after YSR’s death. Recent developments indicates that there is a gap between KVP and Jagan. Jagan’s loyalist, Konda Surekha’s public letter to KVP on the charges of corruption during YSR’s administration is manifesting growing distance between KVP and Y.S. jagan.
