Polavaram and Rampa Chodavaram Assembly Constituencies – New Mandals and Boundaries

Election Commission of India has reorganised Polavaram and Rampa Chodavaram Assembly Constituencies of Andhra Pradesh as several mandals and villages were merged in Andhra Pradesh by Government of India facilitating construction of Polavaram project. The merger of 7 mandals in Khammam district in AP has necessitated this and the Assembly constituencies were reorganised accordingly.

Following are the latest boundaries of Polavaram and Rampachodavaram constituencies after reorganisation of constituencies:

Rampa Chodavaram Assembly Constituency:

Maredumilli, Devipatnam, Y Ramavaram, Addateegala, Gangavaram, Rampachodavaram, Rajavommangi, Kunavaram, Chintur, VR Puram Mandals, Yetapaka Mandal, Bhadrachalam Mandal except Bhadrachalam revenue village.

Polavaram Assembly Constituency:

Polavaram, Buttayagudem, Jeelugumilli, Koyyalagudem, T Narasapuram, Velerupadu Mandals, Kukkunur Mandal including Sitanagaram, Sreedhara Veleru, Gumpanapalli, Ganapavaram, Ibrahimpet, Ravigudem (Pedda) revenue villages.

The constituencies were revised as per the rules of Delimitation of Constituencies Act 2008. These changes will come into effect from 2019 Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh in respective constituencies.
