The government of Telangana has approved the recommendations of PRC and the lakhs of government employees in the new state of Telangana will get revised and increased pay scales. This is a realisation of the promise given to government employees by the TRS government for their sacrifices in the Telangana movement.
There is a significant impact on the existing salaries with an additional 43 percent fitment across the categories of all employees. The hike in salaries will be from 100 to 120 percent.
An employee who is drawing a salary of around 10000 in 2013 will get a salary of about 23000 in the new pay structure.
And an employee who is getting a salary of around 50000 per month in 2013 will now get around 1,10,000 according to the new pay structure. The salaries for most of the employees will be on par with software professionals. There is jubilant mood and celebration in Telangana employees with these salary hikes.
