Profile of Syed Azeez Pasha of CPI

Syed Azeez Pasha is a senior leader of the Communist Party of India (CPI) from Andhra Pradesh. He was former member of Rajya Sabha from the state and represented CPI. His parents are Syed Yaseen Pasha and Syeda Buthool Bee. He born on 27 February 1945 at Humnabad, of Bidar district in Karnataka. He was married on 24th August 1972 to Doulath Fatima and they have three daughters. Pasha is likely to contest to Assembly in 2014 elections.

Azeez Pasha studied B.A., LL.B and educated from Osmania University, Hyderabad and Osmania University Law College, Hyderabad. His permanent address is at 16- 9 -683 / E /2 /8, Old Malakpet, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Pasha was a National Council Member of Communist Party of India (CPI) from 1992 to April 2006. He was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2006 and served as member of Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Defense and Standing Committee on Energy.

Pasha has written several articles for New Age Weekly (New Delhi), Hayath Monthly (New Delhi), Mukti Sangharsh Weekly (New Delhi) and Visalandhra, a Telugu daily and the official organ of the CPI. He has been active in Social and Cultural Activities, Literary, Artistic and Scientific Accomplishments. Pasha has served as General Secretary, AISF and Secretary, All India Youth Federation.
