Profile of MV Mysoora Reddy of TDP – Kadapa District

MV Mysoora Reddy is a senior politician in Andhra Pradesh. He served as a home minister of Andhra Pradesh during 1990-94 in the Congress Government. He was a member of Rajya Sabha from the Telugu Desam Party during 2006 – 2012. He did not get re-election to Rajya Sabha as CM Ramesh of the Kadapa district has been chosen by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. Here is a brief biodata cum profile of M V Mysoora Reddy. Parents of Mysoora Reddy are Bala Mysura Reddy and Subbamma. He born on 28 February 1949 at Nidujuvvi, Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. He recently contested for bye election of Kadapa lok sabha constituency and was defeated by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Mysoora Reddy was married to M. Swaroopa on on 15 August 1976 and they have two sons. He is a doctor by profession. He studied MBBS at Government Medical College, Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh). His permanent address is at Niduzuvvi Village, Yerraguntla Mandal, Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. Mysoora Reddy has served as a member of Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh during 1985 – 94 and 1999-2004. He was Minister for Home and Transport in 1990- 94 and later joined in TDP. He was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2006 and his term expired in 2012.

Mysoora Reddy was a member of parliamentary and house committees such as Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture Member, Committee on Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme, Committee for the Ministry of External Affairs and Committee on Subordinate Legislation. At the local level, he served as Samithi President of Kamalapuram, Cuddapah District, Andhra Pradesh during 1981-85. He later became MLA from Kamalapuram Constituency.
